We are proud to support the UBC community by hosting and organizing a variety of not-for-profit events throughout the year in collaboration with Student Housing and Community Services, Food Services, and UBC.
Here are some campus-wide events we host or support:
UBC Farm Long Table Dinner
An annual event featuring a unique farm-to-table experience, celebrating community and cuisine with the picturesque backdrop of UBC Farm.
Blueberry festival
A delightful celebration of BC blueberries, offering a creative all-blueberry menu that includes fresh pancakes, baked goods and more.
Meet Your Maker
An educational event where local vendors inform the community about the origins of their food, promoting sustainable and ethical choices.
Harvest Feastival
A signature fall event that brings together over 800 students, faculty, and staff for an epic family-style feast of fresh local food and live music.
UBC staff & faculty BBQ
A campus-wide celebration that welcomes over 4,000 employees to the start of the new academic year with a BBQ lunch, entertainment and info booths.
UBC Chef’s Challenge
A hallmark summer event where chef teams compete in a culinary showdown and attendees vote for their favorite bites and craft beer pairings.
UBC Learning Exchange BBQ
A fun, casual summer gathering at Crab Park that brings together a group of passionate and engaged learners from UBC and the community.
Apprentice Dinner
A gourmet three-course dinner designed, prepared, and executed by UBC culinary apprentices, showcasing their skills and creativity to the wider UBC community.
United Way x Thrive Bake-off
A community-powered baking showdown featuring homemade treats by students and staff, hot chocolate, and a chance to support United Way during UBC Thrive month.
